SoccerKnights lose AAC Game at Milligan
Elizabethton, TN - The men's soccer team was on the road this evening as they trekked down US 23 to the eastern side of Tennessee to play (RV) Milligan University. It was going to be an uphill battle for the visiting Knights as Milligan is currently receiving national Top-25 votes in the most recent poll. So facing the Buffs on their home pitch seemed a daunting task, and it proved to be just that.
MU scored their first goal early in the 7th minute of the contest and eventually scored seven first half goals on their way to a 0-10 victory. The Buffs defense was spectacular as they allowed only two KCU shots.
For the Knights, Jaime Rodriguez accounted for those two shots. In goal for KCU, Brett Ferguson stopped 13 shots but Milligan kept tremendous pressure in the Kentucky Christian end of the field and was able to score efficiently and often to control the game from the beginning.
