Women's Soccer Loses Close Game
Grayson, KY – The KCU women's soccer dropped a close decision to the visiting Koalas of Columbia College by a score of 1-3 in Saturday soccer action.
Columbia held a 0-2 lead heading into halftime but the Knights held their own in the second half as each team scored a single goal. Ashleigh Spencer scored the KCU goal off a deflected ball in the CC box. It was her first goal of the season.
Morgan Bivens stopped eight of 11 shots she faced while keeping her team within striking distance.
The women hit the road as part of a men's/women's soccer doubleheader next Wednesday (9/30) with Kentucky Christian visiting Milligan University. The men's game is set for 5:00PM and the women follow at 7:00PM.
