Union Takes Two at KCU

Grayson, KY – The final two games of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) series between the Knights and the Union Bulldogs were played today. In the first game, UC won 1-14 and took the second, 6-13.
Game 1
- Justin Legg was credited with two hits in leading KCU in the hits column.
- Driving in the Knights only run, Yan Rivera went 1-4 for his day’s work.
- Tucker Sorenson was 1-2 and scored a run.
- Elijah Spurlock was tagged with the loss. He went 3.1 innings and was charged with a run while striking out three and walking five.
Game 2
- Rivera continued his hot bat, as he was 3-4 in the day’s second contest.
- Going 2-4, Cody Holub scored one of the Knights six runs.
- Cam Marushi and Cole Ottersberg had a hit each and combined for two runs scored and an RBI.
- Sorenson took the loss as he surrendered seven runs on nine hits. He struck out eight and walked two.
Who's Up Next
The Knights will step outside the AAC and travel to Tennessee for the Alice Lloyd College Christian Tournament. They will play three games over the two days of the tournament, scheduled for March 7-8.
