Knights Earn Split at Milligan
Elizabethton, TN – Kentucky Christian traveled to the Milligan University campus for a weekend Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball series. When they boarded the bus, the Knights had earned a hard-fought split with the Buffaloes.
KCU took the first game, 8-5, with an improbable 9th inning comeback highlighted by a three-run dinger by Evan Juniper. Milligan showed their grit by bouncing back in the second game with a 3-16 victory. Logan Hullette provided the fireworks for the Buffs with a homer and a double.
Game 1
- In addition to the afore-mentioned home run, Juniper finished the game with three hits in five official at-bats. He also drove in five big runs and scored a run as well.
- Cristian Garcia was 3-4 with three runs scored and a RBI along with a walk.
- Jayden Brown earned the win in relief of starter, Sam Goude. Brown surrendered only one hit in two full innings of work.
Game 2
- Tucker Sorenson led the way for KCU by going 2-3 and scored a run.
- Juniper was 1-2, scoring a run and working another walk from the MU pitching staff.
- Elijah Spurlock was tagged with the loss.

The Knights will finish the series with a single 9-inning game tomorrow. The first pitch is schedule at 1:30.
