KCU Splits with Johnson-TN

Knoxville, TN – The Kentucky Christian softball team traveled to Knoxville, TN to take on the Royals of Johnson University-TN. KCU won the first game of the doubleheader, 5-4 while Johnson captured the nightcap, 3-5.
Game 1
- Erica Vain was 2-4 at the plate and scored two runs.
- With three RBI’s, Acie Prince went 1-3 and led the team in the RBI column.
- Hannah Ison was also 2-4 and drove in one road.
- Ashton Blackburn earned the win in this razor-thin victory. She allowed 11 hits and four earned runs while striking out six and walking three.
Game 2
- Victoria Breckler had two hits and smacked a home run in the 5th inning. She scored a run and was credited with two RBI’s.
- Vain had two hits in four at-bats.
- Ison and Kaytlin Leyvas scored a run each and were both 1-3 at the dish.
- Caroline Donithan started the game, surrendering seven hits and five earned runs. She struck out one and walked two in the loss.
Who's Up Next
The Lady Knights finish the regular season with a trip to Athens, TN for a doubleheader with Tennessee Wesleyan University.
