20th Association of Collegiate Anglers National Championship Underway at Lake Hartwell
The 20th Association of Collegiate Anglers National Championship is currently taking place on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, South Carolina, featuring four teams from our institution. The competition began with practice days from May 18-21, followed by tournament days on May 22-23. Each day, the blast-off will commence at 6 a.m., with weigh-ins scheduled for 2 p.m.
This year, the championship has attracted 200 college teams, showcasing the best young anglers from across the nation. Our teams are eager to compete against this impressive field, and we are proud to support them in their pursuit of excellence.
After the first day of competition, Eli Kelley and Chris Baker lead our teams, currently sitting in 39th place with a weight of 12.39 pounds. Ben Brockwell and Will Rooker are in 124th place with a weight of 9.02 pounds. Cameron Dials and Ethan Burnette follow closely in 155th place, weighing in at 7.00 pounds. Reece Keeney and Brantley Anders round out our teams in 177th place with a weight of 4.87 pounds.
