Knights Outlast Bluefield, 28–21, Behind Wasik’s Big Day
Grayson, KY – November 1, 2025 Kentucky Christian University protected its home turf on Saturday, defeating Bluefield (VA) 28–21 in a hard-fought matchup to move to .500 on the season.
Quarterback Jackson Wasik powered the Knights' offense, completing 21 of 32 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 75 yards and another score. His early command set the tone as KCU jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
The Knights kept rolling when Jovari Gamble punched in a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter, giving KCU a 20–7 halftime lead. In the fourth, Wasik connected with Calvin Brown for a 15-yard score and ran in the two-point conversion to make it 28–14. Bluefield answered late with an 85-yard touchdown, but the Knights' defense held firm in the closing minutes to seal the win.
Wideouts Javion Martin (7 catches, 106 yards) and Jailen Briscoe (5 catches, 105 yards) led a potent passing attack, while Jason Cobb, Jordan West, and Calvin Brown all contributed key receptions.
Defensively, Dashawn Webster tallied seven tackles and a sack, Tyler Kelly added two sacks, and JaTarius Randolph recorded another as the Knights' front pressured Bluefield throughout the evening.
"Our guys competed from start to finish," said Head Coach Jason Aubry. "We made big plays when it mattered and found a way to close it out. I'm proud of their fight and the way they protected home field."
The win lifts KCU to 4–4 overall (2–2 AAC) as the Knights continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the 2025 season.
