Knights Bass Team Lands Three
Grayson, KY – The Bass Fishing team at Kentucky Christian University is proud to announce the addition of three athletes to their squad.
"Anyone who follows KHSAA Bass Fishing knows that South Laurel won the state championship this year," commented KCU Coach Brian Slone. "We are very pleased to add two of their finest bass anglers, Gunner Whitaker and Hunter Jones, to our team. They bring a wealth of tournament experience to our young group and as a coach, this experience will be invaluable during the 2019-20 season."
Joining the team as a local talent, Cameron Jenkins from Russell High School has signed on with the Knights to continue the sport he loves. Jenkins spoke of his commitment, "Well first off, I would thank God for giving me this opportunity. Next, I would like to thank all my family for everything they have done for me. And to the university for giving me this chance to further my education and while doing something I love while getting closer to the Lord. I look forward to working with Coach Slone and my other teammates to bring home championships."
Jenkins, Jones, and Whitaker join teammates Cameron Chitwood, Justin Fairchild, and Jonathan Fraley in the inaugural Bass Fishing recruiting class. Good luck and the KCU family is looking forward to seeing you in the fall!
