Indoor Track and Field at Conference Meet

Winston-Salem, NC – The KCU Indoor Track/Field teams traveled to North Carolina to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Indoor Championship.

On the women's side:

  • In the 5K Run both Jordan Riley (FR/Russell, KY) (6th) and Sydney Reed (FR/Waverly, OH) (9th) placed in the conference Top 10.
  • The team of Emily Bracob, Abriella Edelen (FR/Shelbyville, KY), Sydney Reed and Jordan Riley in the 4x800 Meter Relay with a time of 11:07.36 claimed a 5th place finish. The same team finished in 4th place (14:32.68) in the Distance Medley.
  • Moving to the field, in the Shot Put, KCU placed three in the Top 21. Lauren Hannah (FR/Greenup, KY) took 11th with with a throw of 10.12m while Jaina Bailey (FR/Ironton, OH) (9.57m) and Kelly McNamara (SO/Vanceburg, KY) (8.77m) finished 14th and 21st, respectively.
  • Hannah (8th) was credited with 12.41m in the Weight Throw while Bailey (10) ended up just behind her with a throw of 11.53m.

For the men:

  • In the Distance Medley, the team of Quay Harrison (FR/Ironton, OH), Payton Herron (FR/Cedarville, OH), CJ Kelley (FR/Garfield Heights, OH) and James Overholser (SO/Sharpsburg, KY) grabbed a 7th place finish.
  • Also moving to the field, Connor Ignacio (FR/Lexington, KY) claimed 9th place in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.16m.
  • For the Weight Throw, Tanner Euton took 10th with an effort of 11.55m.
