Cross Country Runs at Rio Grande

Rio Grande, OH – Kentucky Christian University participated at the Rio Grande/Patty Forgey Cross Country Invitational and while they did not participate as a full team, they did have a good showing by the Knights runners.

For the men, there were 73 runners representing 10 different schools. Bennett Hodson (FR/Leesburg, OH) ended his run in 24^th (30:53.41) place and Thomas Breeze (NA/Greenup, KY) took 32nd (31:21.07) which gave them an upper half finish. Josh Watkins ran a 35:39.50 and Zachary Grose (NA/Vine Grove, KY) came in at 39:08.49 over the 8K distance.

On the women's side, 49 runners from eight different teams ran the 5K a course for the event. Julia Graves (NA/Winchester, KY) clocked a 23:48.33, good enough for 17^th place, while Emily Brackob (NA/Taylorsville, KY) finished 36^th after running a 27:00.36.

KCU next runs at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic on October 5^th.
