Both Knights CC Teams Finish Top-5
Charlotte, NC – Both KCU cross country teams were in North Carolina today for the Royals XC Challenge and when all the runners had crossed the finish line, the Knights owned a 3rd Place (men) and a 5th Place (women) finish. By far their best results of the fall season.
For the men, the top five finishers combined for a time of 2:12:43 with Dylan French (FR/Ironton, OH) (10th) posting their best time, a 26:03.2. He was followed by Payton Herron (FR/Cedarville, OH) (16th) 26:17.8 and James Overholser (SO/Sharpsburg, KY) (26th) 26:37.2. Rounding out the men's times were Quay Harrison (FR/Ironton, OH) (33rd) 26:52.3, CJ Kelley (FR/Garfield Heights, OH) (34th) 26:53.2 and Luke Davisson (FR/Newark, OH) (54th) 27:40.4. There were 182 runners on the men's side.
The women were led by Jordan Riley (FR/Russell, KY)'s 6th Place finish and time of 19:14.1. Sydney Reed (FR/Waverly, OH) and Samantha Reed (FR/Waverly, OH) finished 13th and 21st, respectively with times of 19:54.0 and 20:37.5. Julia Graves (SO/Winchester, KY) (40th) 21:03.0, Abriella Edelen (FR/Shelbyville, KY) (62nd) 21:45.3 and Emily Brackob (SO/Taylorsville, KY) (91st) 22:43.8 finish out the Knights times. There were 175 women runners in the race.
