Kelley & Riley Compete at XC Nationals
Vancouver, WA – Following the Appalachian Athletic Conference cross country meet, both KCU's CJ Kelley (FR/Garfield Heights, OH) and Jordan Riley (FR/Russell, KY) had posted times qualifying them for the NAIA Cross Country Championships. The men's (8K) and women's (5K) race was run at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Vancouver, WA.
On the men's side, 330 runners competed from every corner of the country. When the race concluded, Kelley had run a 27:35.9, which was good enough to put him in 201st place.
For the women, Riley negotiated the 5K course in a time of 20:36.9. That time placed her in the 226th slot out of 338 runners.
Congratulations to both CJ and Jordan for their hard work during the season and excellent showing in the National Championship! Go Knights!!!
