Ritchhart Named NCCAA Mideast Region Coach of the Year
Grayson, KY - Coach Mark Ritchhart of the Lady Knights has been honored with the prestigious title of NCCAA Mideast Region Coach of the Year. This recognition comes after an outstanding season for the Lady Knights, who finished with a record of 18-28 and secured a thrilling victory over Oakland City in the Mideast Region Tournament. KCU went 4-6 in tournament play with huge wins over Oakland City and Alice Lloyd and Kansas Christian College, who hosted the tournament in Kansas City.
Under Coach Ritchhart's guidance, the Lady Knights showcased their exceptional skills and determination, earning them a spot in the highly anticipated NCCAA World Series in Kansas City, Missouri. The team's remarkable performance in the Region Tournament was marked by a series of dominant victories, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with.
Not only did the Lady Knights excel as a team, but three of their talented players also received well-deserved recognition. Acie Prince, Kaytlin Leyvas, and Jaryn Holtsclaw were all named to the First Team All-Region, further highlighting their exceptional contributions to the team's success.
